Head of the Electronic Banking department at the Monetary and Banking Research Institute (MBRI) announced: “The first cryptographic laboratory sample has been created in the Monetary and Banking Research Institute (MBRI).”

Highlighting and following the discussions regarding the formation of the first cryptographic laboratory sample in Iran according to the Public Relations department of the MBRI, Dr. Nima Amirshekari stated: “Moving towards a national digital currency would be a necessity. Therefore, the Monetary and Banking Research Institute (MBRI) has commenced on taking actions in this regard and has prepared a national laboratory cryptocurrency sample as well.”

Dr. Amirshekari also added: “As a research institute, the MBRI has taken a duty as a commitment to research and study on this issue and has investigated the advantages and disadvantages of launching a national cryptographic laboratory sample.”

Head of the Electronic Banking department at the Monetary and Banking Research Institute (MBRI) emphasized on the point that the first laboratory cryptocurrency sample has been created not by any contract from a specific organization or institute and is expecting to have a contractor in this regard.

Dr. Amirshekari also stated: “In order to present the laboratory cryptocurrency sample, the Monetary and Banking Research Institute (MBRI) has started negotiations with various centers and has been expecting to receive memorandum of understating.”
