The introductory ceremony of the new director of the Monetary and Banking Research Institute was held

The opening ceremony of Dr. Shapoor Mohammadi, the new head of the Monetary and Banking Research Institute, was attended by Dr. Akbar Komijani, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Abolfazl Najarzadeh, Deputy Administrative and Financial Officer of the Central Bank, Hooman Reza Madani Shahroudi, Director General of the Central Bank, and the directors of the Monetary and Banking Research Institute.

According to the Public Relations of the Monetary and Banking Research Institute, in this ceremony, Akbar Komijani stated. After reviewing cases, the Governor of the Central Bank concluded that Dr. Shapoor Mohammadi would take the helm of the Monetary and Banking Research Institute.

Referring to Dr. Mohammadi's academic and executive background, he stated: "He is one of the intellectuals among graduates of the University of Tehran. In the past years, he has held various positions, including the head of the stock exchange organization, the economic deputy of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, etc. It means that he is familiar with the theoretical foundations of economics and management, especially financial management, and its combination with various experiences.

Emphasizing the high scientific level of researchers and faculty members and managers of various departments at the Monetary and Banking Research Institute, Komijani said: "I hope that with the presence of the new director, we will see more and more research activities flourishing."

Dr. Abolfazl Najarzadeh, Deputy Administrative and Financial Officer of the Central Bank, also stated: Dr. Mohammadi has an excellent work experience and a personal resume and is one of the few economists who are well-known for both academic and executive fields at the same time.

He continued: "With this election of Dr. Mohammadi, the colleagues in the research institute should be hopeful for the future, and I wish Dr. Mohammadi more and more success."

Dr. Shapoor Mohammadi, director of the Monetary and Banking Research Institute, emphasized on the happy coincidence of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan and the first working day at the MBRI. "I would like to thank the Governor of the Central Bank for his trust in me, and I believe the reputation of the MBRI is undoubtedly due to the efforts of my colleagues in the research institute."

Dr. Mohammadi announced the compilation of a 5-year plan and the perspective of the research institute as one of his plans and said: "For codification of this plan, appropriate coordination will be done with the Central Bank."
